Hailing from New York, The Solidstate Syndicate has been producing
music since the 1990s on a cross genre range of different sounds varying
from all forms of electronic to organic styles. Many of the influences
derive from old school synth pop, b-boy electro, to Commodore 64
demos.
The Solidstate Syndicates’ founding member was once shot in the
stomach five times during an undisclosed dispute by unknown agents of
an unknown organization. To this day no one knows what really
happened.
The premiere release, Bad math, is a culmination of different sonic
influences and sound sources ranging from handheld videogame units,
obsolete 80’s computers, classic analog to modern digital synthesizers
and broken circuit bent toys and heavily influenced by the 8bit
soundtracks of classic video games.
Currently The Solidstate Syndicate is playing out in support of the new
release, Bad Math, as well as looking for revenge on those responsible
for the shooting.
